Maybe you’ve experienced a harrowing divorce, perhaps you chose to have an abortion, or your language isn’t Christianese. But deep down inside, you have a hunger and longing for God.
Am I describing you? If so, you will LOVE “Traveling Mercies!” You will also feel a kindred spirit in Anne Lamott. She’s earthy, real, authentic, and very, very funny! And if there is one thing we followers of Jesus need to learn, it is how to laugh at ourselves. There’s freedom in that. Freedom to be who we are and to come to God as we are.
